Torquemada es un municipio de la comarca del Cerrato, zona suroriental de la Provincia de Palencia, comunidad autónoma de Castilla y León, en España.
Torquemada is a municipality in the province of Palencia, Castile and León, Spain. According to the 2010 census (INE), the municipality has a population of 1098 inhabitants. It is the namesake and believed to be the birthplace of famed Grand Inquisitor Tomas de Torquemada. The village is known for its peppers, an important crop for the local economy.
